A target rate is a level you would like a currency pair to reach. Record the pair in the correct direction, your approximate amount and the date by which you need to make a payment. For example, a higher GBP/EUR number means each pound buys more euros before charges. The same interpretation does not apply if you reverse the pair.
UNDERSTAND WHAT AN ENQUIRY DOES
Sending a target-rate enquiry does not reserve that rate or guarantee that a notification service is active. Ask the team to confirm what monitoring is available, how notifications would be sent and what rate basis would be used. A reference-data threshold may differ from a price a provider can offer for your transaction.
DO NOT RELY ON A NOTIFICATION FOR A DEADLINE
